Individual training in pediatric palliative home care
The Warsaw Hospice for Children Foundation offers a month training in pediatric palliative home care for health care professionals (physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers and chaplains) who are employed in institutions providing palliative care for children with life-limiting conditions or want to start new home care programs. We would like to receive an official letter from the employer with a statement that the candidate will be employed after the training.
The trainees must speak either English, Russian or Polish.
The program consists of 2 clinical meetings daily at 8:00 and 15:00, and home visits with our staff (usually 2 daily) between the meetings. Moreover, a meeting of the bereavement support group for parents once per week (Thursday or Saturday at 17:30). Seeing patients with our nurses during weekends is optional.
We offer access to the hospice library (books, journals, videos etc.)
We do not charge for the training. We offer a small room in our hostel with access to the kitchen (also free of charge). Unfortunately, we neither provide scholarships nor reimbursement of travel costs, health insurance, visa etc.
